Jim is a highly qualified sports coach. He is employed by 'The Somerset Activity & Sports Partnership' (SASP) as a community coach, and delivers specialist multi skills lessons in a number of Somerset primary schools.

Jim is also a very talented sportsman. He is currently captain of Taunton Vale Hockey Club and also plays cricket for Torquay in the Devon Premier League.

His claim to fame is representing England as twelfth man against South Africa at Trent Bridge in 2002.
