Simon is a qualified 'secondary' PE teacher. He currently teaches PE at Kirton Middlecott Sports College in Boston, Lincolnshire, where he is also the school's Sports Co-ordinator (SSCo). The role includes working with a number of primary feeder schools in the area to develop opportunities in PE and School Sport.

Simon's coaching CV is impressive; he holds coaching qualifications in archery, abseiling, fencing, swimming, squash, orienteering and tennis. Simon is a qualified in first aid, specialising in sports injuries. He is also the original master of Captain Flag, or says he is.

Chunky is a self-confessed 'all round' top bloke, just 'living the dream'.
